Sacred Portals: Elemental Alchemy: is a series of textured mixed media works exploring the four classical elements, Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, as living forces of transformation. Each piece was created through layered processes of colour, texture, and ritual, guided by intuition and grounded in time and energy. As an artist living with disability and chronic pain, I work in relationship with time, body, and energy, embracing a slower, more intentional rhythm that allows the work to unfold organically. These portals are offerings, born from the alchemy of lived experience. They hold space for stillness, strength, beauty, and change.
Sacred Portals
Earth - A Steady Pulse. Built in slow layers like sediment forming over time. This piece holds the weight of stillness, the memory of ground. A quiet resilience lives in its surface.
Air - Between Light and Shadow. This work holds space rather than form. It’s what lingers in the pause. An echo of thought, a trace of movement.
Fire - Rising Embers. This one smoulders. Not the wild blaze, but the deep heat beneath it all. Molten, raw, alive in its tension.
Water - Shifting Tides. This piece remembers. It moves like intuition—subtle, swelling, retreating. A mirror, a rhythm, a letting go.
